Mass Profile Removal

When I try to delete the roaming profile for more than one user at a time the change does not seem to take effect. The only way I can do this is by replacing the profile path with a space but that causes issues with the workstations.

If I select each individual user, I can delete the profile path completely without issue but multiple users will not work.

I've tried applying a template to the users as well but that has no effect on the profiles either.

Any help would be of assistance to remove all the profile paths with one pass. I'm using Hyena v4.7

To blank out a field for multiple users, you must enter in ~DEL in the field you want to blank out.

This is a security feature to keep you from accidentally deleting a field for many users at once.

I´ve got the same task to manage ,changing profile path and terminalserver profilepath for about 400 Users. But when i try to replace the Path with "~DEL" hyena replaces the original path with ~DEL and doesn´t blank it out, space doesn´t seem to work neither , it crashes the Terminalserver logon. i am using version 4.5b. please help because i´m in serious trouble right now.

Make sure you have more than one user selected when you do this. This only blanks it out if there are more than one user selected. Also make sure you put it in exactly as ~DEL.

You are using a fairly old version, too, so something could have been modified in a more recent version.

I verified that this step works with v4.5 'C', so I would retry this again with two users selected. If it fails, either upgrade to rev 'C' available at www.systemtools.com/hyena/download_frame.htm or you can just install the current release temporarily until you get this problem resolved.

Do not enter ~DEL in quotes, just like that with no leading or trailing spaces.

Ahh same problem I had! I thought it was a bug tho. That's why I replaced the licensed v4.3 with a demo v6.2

The del thing actually works tho.
