Manage scheduled Tasks on Windows 2008

Hi,

it is possible to manage scheduled on Windows 2008 remotely ? Hyena does not show tasks in "new" (XML based ?) format.

You should be able to view/manage them with Hyena. I tested on Windows 7 which uses the same scheduler as 2008 and it works fine.

Hm, ok.

Unfortunately, we must still use XP at client. I will try a VM with Windows 7 on my next new PC.

Searched the Forum and found this thread, which I'll add to it.

I am on Windows 2008 R2, trying to manage Scheduled Tasks on a remote W2K8 R2 using Hyena v8.6. Using Hyena, I can create a task and manage it.

On the remote server, the task shows as Configured for "Windows Server 2003, Windowx XP, or Windows 2000" (Task Properties, General tab). If I change the task to Configured fo "Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2" then Hyena can no longer see it.

Also, if I create a task directly from W2K8R2, Hyena cannot see it.

Is this a bug in Hyena? Shouldn't Hyena see ALL tasks on a W2K8 R2 server? (just like W2K3).

Those tasks can't be viewed in Hyena at this time, but will be available in a future update later this year.
