Re: Tabs in user properties
Wow, thought I had tried that already, saw it in another posting, and it hadn't worked. This time it worked as advertised! Thank you for your incredibly quick reply! This is a great product! - JeffEgg

jeffegg,
Go to Tools->Settings->Active Directory and uncheck the box to Show shell property pages by default for user objects. View a user again and see if you are able to make changes without any errors.
The issue you are having typically indicates a problem with the admin tools (RSAT in your case) either that they haven't been installed or need to be reinstalled.

Re: Tabs in user properties
I have installed 8.0e x64 on Vista Business x64, over a 32bit version of 7.7C. Now I no longer see detail tabs for my users. All I see is a Security Tab and a COM+ tab. I have reinstalled RSAT for Vista x64, no joy.
The older 32bit 7.7C still functions as expected. This seems isolated to the 64bit version. Any ideas?

Please turn that option off again, then send a screenshot of what you get with Hyena's dialogs to [email protected].

Re: Tabs in user properties
That option was turned off, and when I turn it on, I do see all the tabs that I see when using the Active Directory User & Computers tool.
This will probably work, but even w/o that option checked, running the same version on an XP machine has the tabs I specified as missing.
Thanks.
JR

Tabs in user properties
I have installed v8.0 rev C on my windows 7 machine. I've also installed the AD management for W7 as well as Exchange System Admin.
I have noted that only about 1/2 the tabs I normally see are available when modifying the user's properties. Is this by design or a problem with my installation?
Missing are the following tabs:
Address, Organization, Personal, Security, Object & Contact. For the ones that are there, one of them (Account) does not show the information I would expect to see such as account name or W2k login name.
Does this imply that I am not getting the full AD integration?
Thanks,
