Okay, we've tested just about every combination we have available without any issues. We don't have the 64 bit version of XP, though which could be the problem. If that is the case we wouldn't be able to do anything differently with Hyena as the underlying functionality would not be there.

We've seen and are pretty confident it works under Windows 7, Vista, and 2008.

You could experiment with the 32 bit version of Hyena, but we aren't sure if you would then have to install 32 bit admin tools. There still could be a permissions issue as well.

One thing worth looking at is when you view a group's property dialog, look at the bottom status bar in Hyena and see if any error is displayed there.

The version is 8.0 C 64bit german locally with an administrative account (locally and AD).

What version of Hyena are you running? Go to Help->About Hyena to get that info. Also, are you running Hyena in a remote session, through Run As, or anything other than just running the executable on your system?

Account Functions -> Shell Properties shows only the tabs "Sicherheit" and "COM+".

Active Directory Users and Computers MMC-Snap-In works.

See if anything else doesn't work as far as AD management. Right-click on a user and choose Account Functions->Shell Properties and see if that comes up. If so, can you make changes without any errors, etc.

Also run ADU&C on your computer and see if you can manage groups there, including making a change to make sure there aren't any errors, etc.

we have an Enteprise-Edition, AD is activated and now I have installed the 64Bit-adminpak from the wadminpak.msi but it doesn't work. I can only see the security-tab for groups.

Also go to Tools->Settings->Active Directory and verify that the box is checked to Enable Active Directory support. If that is checked, then the problem is going to be with the adminpak that you have installed.

Yes I mean the security-tab. I have installed the adminpak.msi from a 32Bit-Server. On 64Bit-Servers I can't find it.

Do you mean you are only seeing the Security tab? If so that typically indicates that you don't have the Active Directory admin tools installed on the computer.

I have installed 64Bit-Hyena on 64Bit XP and when I try to change group-memberships in a global group I get only the permissions of that group. Which tools must I install that this AD-function work?
