  • Vista and Terminal Server .v2 profiles

Vista roaming profiles and Terminal Service 2008 profiles/tsprofiles requires an additional profile folder name profile.v2. FOr instance my profile is benb and my vista profile is benb.v2.

What is the best way to add the .v2 additional profile folders?

You should be able to create a batch file for this, and have it run after Hyena creates the other directories for you. On your Home Directory Template is a box: After creating home directory, run. Enter the name of your batch file there and Hyena will run it when it creates the home directory.

The help file has information on the structure for the batch file.

Thank you for your prompt response.

All of our current users have been setup except they don't have the .v2 directory.

Will your suggestion also work for existing users that only need the .v2 directory?

No, that one will only work if it is creating the home directory. In that case, you can look at using the option under Tools->Settings->User. There is a box at the bottom: Batch file to run for all user changes. There's info in the help file for that one too, and you'll put your code in the modify section of the batch file. Then select your users, make a change to trigger the modification mechanism.
