Aladdin custom attribute

We use Aladdins eToken/Smartcards. Aladdins eToken Management has its own field in active directory called "AksTmsTokens". When I choose this attribute to display I get an error like "can not be displayed/formatted".

Opended with with ADSIEdit it's:

"Distinguished Name with String"

Are you getting this error when you try to open a user properties and access the attribute on the 'Custom' tab ?

If so, are you able to right click on a user object, select Manage Directory Attributes and select this attribute and see/modify it there ?

it's both the same error: display a list or manage it as you mentioned.

I don't see how Hyena can modify this value as it appears to be two values stored into the same attribute:

I assume that ADSIedit shows you two values, a string and a DN, or something like that. We don't have any GUI component that can prompt for two values like this.

Doesn't the eToken software add a property sheet extension to the shell properties page for a user ? ARe you able to see the property sheet page when you right click on a user and select Shell Properties ?

A user has a new tab called "etoken". there a several informations about the enrolled token, id's, install date and so on.
And it has added shell functions like "enroll token", "recover damaged token" and "replace lost token".
What I need is a list only.
Aladdin has a management tool, but there is no export function to get all these informations in a list. So I thougt Hyena could help.

Do you want to be able to modify this attribute or just view the contents ? Viewing the contents is much easier as it does not require a dialog to capture the new contents and update it.

If you just want to view the contents, let me know how its displayed in the ADSIedit: does it just have two values, a string and a DN for this attribute ?

I'm not sure, it's only one value i think. Whe I go to manage/change the value with Hyena, I get an error like "Hyena cannot change datatype (9)". Please contact [email protected]."
I dont' want to change a value. It's only to get a list.

I've added the capability (I think) of displaying the contents of this data type. I can't test this so I'm unsure if it will work, but if you want to try, download:

To see the contents of this attribute, you will have to modify an AD query, or use the Query Active Directory->View All Directory Attributes query. You should see one or both values of the attribute (there should be two separated by a ^)

Let me know what happens. Rename the existing hyena.exe hyena.exe.old or something in case you wind up with crashes, and let me know what happens.

well it works! the field is now displayed with all the information I need (token-id etc.) thanks for your support.
I think I'll have to wait for V. 7.2 ?

You can use the beta if you want for now. Its just v7.1+. I hope to release the beta soon for general testing.
