Sometimes when a pc is set up, someone may forget to click the Register this pc with dns check box. So if you are using dynamic dns, it does not get a name associated with the address.. There are times that we can not get to pc's because of this. Is there a way to get to a pc via ip address rather than computer name?

If you are using AD, you can force Hyena to not use DNS by unchecking the option to use DNS paths under Tools->Settings->Active Directory. Hyena will then use a Netbios name when accessing computers.
Or, if you need access to a computer by IP, you just have to create a manual entry for it under File->Manage Object View.Kevin Stanush
