  • Erroneous "Password Never changed" - where does it get this info?

    Hi,

How does Hyena get the information to determine that it should display "Password never changed" for a user?

We use Novell's DirXML to perform synchronization between our Novell eDirectory and Microsoft Active Directory trees. When a user changes a (eDirectory) password (using the NetWare client), DirXML takes care of changing the password on their Active Directory account too.

However, for some users, Hyena will list a "Password Last Changed" date and time (on the Security tab), but also list "Password Never Changed" as one of the user's attributes.

I have a screen shot if there is some way to attach it the post.

    Thanks!
    - Steve

Thanks, but... sometime in the last 16 hours, the flag updated itself; it now reads "Password change 0 days, 16 hours ago on..." So it seems that it just took a while for the information to become current. Any ideas why would that happen?

      Thanks,
      - Steve

Probably just a delay synchronizing the data throughout AD. Hyena reads information real-time, and doesn't store any data, so the delay wouldn't be caused by Hyena.
