  • Account Operators Members cannot add users to Global Groups

Can anyone tell me why members of the Account Operator Global Group can't add users to other Global Groups ?

I know they can't add to the Administrator(s) groups.

    Thanks in advance

You left out some important information. Are you running in multiple domains? Like your in a child or parent. Where are your global groups residing currently? Are they in a built in folder in active directory or did they get moved into an OU? If you right click and go to security properties it should show Account Operators having full control.

I am still in an NT environment.

I created a global group called IT-Operators and made it a member of Account Operators.

      Did I forget something ?

      Thanks

As a test, try adding one of your users directly to the Account Operators group, instead of through the global group, and remove them from the global group. Then, see if they can manage other groups. This may be a NT limitation.
