Reporting AD data - Customized Tab

We have created a Customized Tab called Employee Info in Active Directory. This information was created by a userproppage.dll In Active Directory and Computers Properties I can see the tab and information under Employee Info. When I right click using Properties in Hyena, I do not see this tab. Is there something I need to complete or add to Hyena to see the customized Tab. I am new to Hyena but find it quite useful for reporting. Thank you. Jim S

See if it shows up when you right-click on a user and choose Account Functions->Shell Properties.

Yes it did.......and I made a change to the field and it kept my change.......Does this mean this is the way I should review properties for customizations?

I'd like to know more about what this extension adds, as it seems to be the .dll extension that is part of MIcrosoft's SDK. Hyena can show the employee id and photo now on the Organization and Personal tabs, but in order to see any property sheet extensions, you need to view the shell properties as Chuck mentioned. Also, you need to have Hyena v6.6, as only that version attempts to load extension pages.

Let me know if it does work, as we don't get a lot of extension pages to test this on.

Hyena has two Property pages for users, one that is built by us, and one that is built by Microsoft. Micrsoft's is accessed through the Shell Properties menu (or keyboard hotkey), and you can change the default in Tools->Settings->AD.

If you add a special property page extension .dll, you will only see this extension when you view the Shell Properties, which should appear the same as in ADU&C.

Hyena also has a Custom tab that can be added to its property pages that will allow seeing and updating TEXT or NUMERIC AD custom attributes.

As stated I am very new to hyena. We had an Employee ID field added to the page about a year ago. Wait....WOW...the Employee ID field is on the Organization Tab using Properties and it is populated. I am sorry but thank you so much for the learning. The response has been great for my first time post. I have a lot to learn. Thank you. im S
