When I try to import (copypwd SET)(copypwd.txt file exist in same folder) users I'am getting next error

    Source : USER32
    Event ID: 1074
    User : NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

    Description:

The process winlogon.exe has initiated the restart of computer BARNEY on behalf of user for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found
    Reason Code: 0x50006
    Shutdown Type: restart
Comment: The system process 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status code -1073741819. The system will now shut down and restart.

    Next error is

Application popup: System Shutdown : The system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. Shutdown will begin in 58 seconds. Shutdown message: The system process 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status code -1073741819. The system will now shut down and restart..

The application, C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 07/07/2005 @ 11:25:56.984 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 009B0424 (<nosymbols> )

    Source : WinLogon
    Event ID : 1015

A critical system process, C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe, failed with status code c0000005. The machine must now be restarted.

I also tested same thing on similar server and problem was same.

But I also tested on win2003 without SP1 (everythig OK) and on new installed machine with SP1 and all patches (also everything OK).

Beacuse of that I dont know what could cause the problem.

I also tested servers against blaster and sasser and I didn't find any of them.

Can someone help or point to right direction.

    Thanks.

    Re: copypwd problem

Did you ever get this figured out? I have similar issue. On new test domain with Windows 2003 SP1 servers (everything works OK). But, on real domain with Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 SP1 servers, I get the lsass error and system restarts. However, it works on the Windows 2000 Servers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

      Re: copypwd problem

We posted a code change today that was suggested by another user that found a problem with some Windows versions and copypwd.exe. Redownload the software and check the date on the copypwd.exe file, it should be dated January 26th, 2006.
