For all computers in your domain, in Hyena click on the domain you want to search to select it, then navigate to Tools > Exporter Pro > Export From Selected Objects. Click the Settings button and on the right-hand side double-click on Network Protocols (MAC Addresses). Check the box to Enable Exporting, enter an output file name such as macaddresses.txt, then click OK. Click Close and Start Export. When it finishes running the View Exported Files window will open. Click the Open With button and find Microsoft Excel in the list to open the file with Excel.

Newbie here. Do you have step-by-step instructions to create a file with all computers in a domain and their corresponding MAC addresses using Exporter Pro? Thank you!

I'm getting the same host not found error. I'm testing on 1 machine & have removed everything from the file except that hostname & MAC address.

Your last post looked fine, assuming that is a tab between those two entries.

Beyond that, what problem are you having at this point?

I wonder if anyone has an example of a WOL.dat file that they've edited because mine isn't working.

    Thanks

    Re: Creating WOL.dat file

You'll have to clean up your file to the format of:

    hostname MAC_address

Exporter Pro exports more information than is required for WOL. If you want to use the data from Exporter Pro for this purpose you'll have to first clean up the file.

Post a sample line from your wol.dat file so we can see what you have at this point.

I exported the info & can see it in the file I created. I point the WOL tab to where this file is and I get the error that the host is not in the file, although I can see it in the config file.

Exporter Pro can create a file with the MAC addresses in it using the Network Protocols (MAC Addresses) option.
