  • Password Restrictions

    Hello

I can access the password restrictions area by right clicking on the domain and selecting Account Policy.

However, does anyone know where these settings are stored in W2K AD as I can't find them at any level and none of the group policies are configured!!!

I'm starting to think they are W2K AD defaults, but all defaults are defined somewhere - arn't they?

    Thanks
    Tim

    Re: Password Restrictions

Go to ADU&C, right-click on your domain and choose Properties, then click the Group Policy tab. Edit your Default Domain Policy, and under Computer Configuration->Windows Settings->Security Settings->Account Policies you should see them.

I can see the area you have described, but we have no settings configured either in the Default Domain Policy or any of the others.

        Re: Password Restrictions

Hyena shows you either what has been defined in the policy, or the current default if you have Not Defined for your Default Domain Policy. As far as we know, there's no way to see the defaults through Microsoft's utilities.
