Why is it when I pull up the properties of a user within Hyena 5.7 I don't get a Dial-in tab but in Active Directory Users and Computers I get the Dial-in tab? I have had a look in the settings but can't seem to find a control for this. I can'e belive it isn't available in Hyena, I'm sure I'm missing something.

Re: Active Directory User Properties
I have checked for that rassapi.dll file and it is there, and I have also verified the settings in Tools>Settings>User. Still no Dial-in Tab in user properties.
FYI I have the windows 2003 admin pack as well as the exchange 2003 tools installed. Don't know if that makes any difference.

Re: Active Directory User Properties
What OS do you have Hyena installed on?
As a test, go to Tools->Settings->Active Directory and find the setting to Show Shell Property Pages for User Objects. Change that setting, meaning uncheck it if checked, or check it if unchecked. Click OK to save that, then double-click on a user again.
You see a different user property sheet from what you've been seeing. Let us know if you see the tab this way.

Re: Active Directory User Properties
Scan your hard drive for the rassapi.dll file and make sure that you only have one and thats its in the system32 directory. If you just have one, zip the file and email it to [email protected] so that I can take a look at its innards.

Re: Active Directory User Properties
Ok I have sent you the .dll file you requested. It was in c:\windows\system32 as it should be and there were no others on my machine. By the way I am running Windows XP Professional fully service packed with windows 2003 admin pack and exchange 2003 admin tools installed.

Re: Active Directory User Properties
Please send a screen shot of the user property view where you are missing the dial-in tab to [email protected]. Also, please include a screen shot of MMC on your XP box showing that it has the dial-in tab.

Re: Active Directory User Properties
Ok I sent the screen shot from within Hyena both with the AD shell properties switched on and off. You will note that the dial in tab is there when the shell properties are turned off.
Interestingly enough i didn't even bother to check AD users and computers on my local machine to see if it were there and it isn't! I'm gathering you are going to tell me there is a problem with the install of the admin tools on my machine?

Re: Active Directory User Properties
When I originally replied to this posting and asked for the .dll file, I though that Hyena's own user properties dialog was missing the Dialin tab. But since you are missing the Dialin tab from the shell pages, then this is a different issue.
For some reason, Windows XP clients can't seem to show the Dialin tab and we don't know why. Those pages are part of the operating system and Hyena does not have any control over them. You are not unique in having this problem.Kevin Stanush

This is actually documented in this article . Search for "Dial-in tab" once you have the article up. Apparently, MS wants you to use GPOs instead of this (old and apparently now deprecated) method. You can continue to use ADU&C from Windows 2000, but under XP I guess you are stuck.
