  • copypwd password

I need to run existing NT domain and new win2k one. I want to use copypwd to copy passwords every hour to the new domain. All works great except the user must change password at next login box is ticked after every run of copypwd. Is there anyway of changing this behavior or can I run a batchfile/program after running copypwd.

Unfortunately there's no way around this with CopyPwd. The only solution is to let it set the setting, then use another program to change it back.

Our Hyena utility can do this for you by simply selecting all of the users, unchecking that checkbox and clicking OK. Hyena will apply that change to all selected users.

          Re: copypwd password

I found if I checked the 'password never expires' box in AD the user is not forced to change their password at the next login. That suits me at the moment as we do not force the students to change their password. After the migration I can change this option with Hyena, so problem solved.
          Thanks
