Group permissions/shares...

Hi all... is there a to find out what servers/shares global groups have access to? We're cleaning out old groups but don't know if they have access to any shares, and we'd rather not go through each folder on each server... if Hyena doesn't do that, is there a 3rd party app that does?

You can view NTFS permissions and share permissions, but this would be one server at a time.

You'd then be able to sort on user/group and see what files or shares they have access to.

Could I get a report on NTFS for all shares on one machine? If so how?

Yes, you can do this by expanding a computer in the left window, then double-clicking on the Shares object. This displays the shares for that computer in the right window. In the right window, select all of the shares, then right-click and choose View NTFS Security.
