Re: Domain Local Groups
Hi,
i`ve got a problem very close to the one mentioned above. I also want to manage Local Groups in an Active Directory Domain and I CAN see them, but if i try to export them ( either Exporter or Exporter Pro ) i cannot find them in the created *.txt files.
Thanks for Your fast reply.
Kind Regards

Re: Domain Local Groups
For an AD domain, if you want the domain local groups, then in Exporter Pro, you need to make sure that the Object Type Filter is either Groups or Local Groups on the AD Template Properties.
If you want local groups from servers or user workstations, then that is not an AD function. For that, you enable and configure the Windows NT/Local Groups option in Exporter Pro.
Let me know if you still have questions/problems.Kevin Stanush

Re: Domain Local Groups
Not yet to meThe Object Filter can be set to groups or local groups but i cannot find these local groups inside the txt file, where everything should be exported to. Although I can see all the groups at the default groups or local groups folder at the Hyena window.

Re: Domain Local Groups
Give me the steps you take in Hyena and/or Exporter Pro to export your groups.
Also, if you maintenance renewal data is after July 2004, you can download the latest version now, which has a few changes to Exporter Pro.Kevin Stanush

Re: Domain Local Groups
I have got latest Version of Hyena ( 6.3 ) and the Exporter Pro. At first I start Hyena. Then I expand the folders (e.g. All Users, All Groups, Local Groups) and I can find all Users and Groups that should be available. But if I start exporting "Local Groups" in my selected domain, some groups are not shown in the *.txt files, although they are shown in the Hyena "All Groups" and "Local Groups" folders.

Re: Domain Local Groups
It will help us if you give us step-by-step details of what you are doing, what options you are using, etc.
If it is easier, you can send screen shots to [email protected].
