I am trying to change the data shown in the right window (results) when I click on the users of a domain. I am using v4.2C and the domain is a mix of NT and Win2000 servers. I went into Manage Object View >> Queries and changed the query for the default "results (right)" to include the attributes I wanted added. I hit Modify and then Okay. I reloaded the users and the results window still shows the original 3 attributes (user name, full name, description) and DOES NOT include the additional six. I've tried closing and restarting the application and no go. I look at the info. under Manage Object View and it has the extra attributes still defined. Please help! What do I need to do to correct?

Re: Change to Results (right window) for Users
If your domain is configured as a Windows Domain, you would right-click on Users and choose View All User Details.
If your domain is configured as a Windows 2000 Domain, you will be able to use these queries by right-clicking on All Users and choosing Tabular Views. You'll be able to see the various queries for that object.
To determine what type your domain is go into Object Manager and click on your domain and look at the Type box below.

I tried this option already and the Task Manager shows that the task is "not responding". I've let it sit there forever and it's always "not responding".

Re: Change to Results (right window) for Users
In a large network with lots of users this can take awhile. You are pulling a quite a bit of data when using this function.
Task Manager is not very reliable in this case because any program that is too busy to respond to it is tagged not responding.

Re: Change to Results (right window) for Users
Sorry for being the typical "impatient user"!! It did finally complete but the attributes showing in the results list is NOT what I had defined as the "results (right)" query shown under "Manage Object View". I'm not sure which one was returned because it doesn't match the list of attributes for any of the queries shown.
More hints please!!!

Re: Change to Results (right window) for Users
These queries only work for Windows 2000 Domain objects. If your domain is Windows 2000 you can change the type in Object Manager by clicking on your domain, changing the type, and entering in the appropriate LDAP:// path.
Once you do this, you will see the Tabular Views option I mentioned above and be able to run the queries from there.
