is there a way to lock down Hyena so a helpdesk person can only reset passwords

If you are running Windows 2000 for your domain, you can delegate the right to reset passwords to any user.

In Hyena they can right-click on a user and choose Account Functions, and then Reset Passwords.

They won't be able to modify any other properties unless you give them access through Windows.
