  • User-Icon in Global Group

    Hello,
what does the usericon with the little "p" in global groups mean? (Windows 2000 ActiveDirectory nativemode)

    Re: User-Icon in Global Group

The 'p' indicates "Primary Group". Due to some strange quirks in NT and Active Directory, its complicated to remove a group that is assigned as a user's primary. Both Hyena and MMC will first require that you assign the user to another primary first. Since Hyena knows which users are assigned to the group through their primary group assignment, we thought that the additional information that we could indicate in the icon would be useful.

Sounds very good! Is there a list of all the other icons and there meaning? I couldn't find some in the onlinehelp.

Unfortunately, no we don't have a central listing of the icons. We will see about creating one on the next major update. If you run across any more that you don't understand, please email [email protected]. They will be happy to help.

        Thanks for your support
