removing specific user acct from multiple computers

I have been trying unsuccessfully for about an hour to remove a specific user account that is present on multiple machines. I have selected the computers that I know the account exists on and then select 'add/ remove group member from the more functions menu. This just results in an error that tells me the group name name could not be found. I know the user account exists on these machines. I am not doing this right?
I have about 250 machines that need to have this specific user removed from them.

This option allows you to remove a user or group from the membership of a local group on multiple computers, but won't delete that user account.

The only thing I can think of for this would be to use something like NTSec from http://www.pedestalsoftware.com/ntsec/index.htm

NTSec is a suite of command-line utilities that you could run from a batch file to do these deletions for you.
