Creating alphabetically organized home directories

Hello,

I am trying to use the Home directory templates to create user shares. The problem is that by convention we are organizing our home directory folders alphabetically. ie \\serverx\home\a\%username%. Is there a wildcard or alternative method to have the firstletter of the username inserted in the file path without manual intervention?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

No, I'm afraid that there isn't any automated way of doing this. Keep in mind that if you change the home directory setting manually, Hyena will still apply the security settings that are in the template.
