  • AD Problems

I'm trying to get Hyena to work with AD and having lots of problems. Everything works fine when I use the Windows Domain object. When I had a Windows 2000 domain object and try to view different things I have problems. Trying to look at the services for a computer it says "Unable to access service information. The RPC server is unavailable." I get the same message when I try to look at the Devices. This happens for both Win2k Pro and NT4 systems. If I try to view the properties for a member server I get "Unable to acces server information for \\SERVER,OU=Member Servers. The filename, directory name, or volume label is incorrect". There are a number of other problems I'm having related to all this, so I think I've got got something configured incorrectly. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

    Re: AD Problems

Go into File->Manage Object View, click on the Windows 2000 domain object for this domain and send a screen shot of that to [email protected].

This will help us see if there is a configuration issue.

      Re: AD Problems

This turned out to be a directory path parsing issue that has been corrected in the latest patch of Hyena.
