  • License Information must be entered after Update

    Hi,
after update Hyena from version 7.0 to 7.1 (on W2003-Terminalserver), most users, not all, had to enter the license information at the first start. It's a bit strange, since the license run until Dec 2008, and we had never this problem before. So my question is, was anything changed within the license model, which causes this effect?

    thanks and regards
    Michael

No, there were not any changes and we have not had any other observations of this. The only change made was to make the software recognize licenses with expiration dates in 2010 and later.

Terminal server users will usually have to enter the license information one time because the license key information is stored in HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

Were these users already using Hyena on the same computer (the remote computer) with the same user account ?

      Hi kstanush,
yes, all those users were already logged on before the update. So every user should have the correct registry entry.

Verify that the license information is updated in the registry. Sometimes, TSE won't allow or keep a registry write after the user logs off, etc.
