  • Deploying Hyena 6.7d

I have installed Hyena 6.7d on to a network drive. I have 28 PCs that I to run the Hyena application. On each machine I attempt to run the Hyena program, I am promoted to enter the licensing info.

I have exported the HLKM\Software\Wise Solutions\WiseUpdate key and the HKCU\Software\Adkins Resource key and merged them in to one of the PC's registry, but I still get prompted to enter the licensing info. I don't want to install the application on every PC as it is being run over the network (no local installation files), so is there another key or configuration file I need to drop down on to the PC?

    Thanks!

    Re: Deploying Hyena 6.7d

On a licensed install find a file called register_key.dat and copy that to your server install directory. When they run Hyena it will copy the appropriate files to the user's profile, including the key file.

Make sure that you have a license for each person that is using Hyena, though.

      Re: Deploying Hyena 6.7d

I have searched my PC (where the original installation to the network occured) and I can not find the file. I am using a licensed version that supports 28 users. I have also checked the directory on the network, but the file is not there either. Is there a specific file path I need to check?

      Thanks.

        Look in the following directory:

        C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\SystemTools\Hyena
