Thanks! I was able to duplicate this with your instructions and will let Development know about it.

I found the problem while composing a step-by-step response. Probably has nothing to do with runas. It appears to be caused by cutting-pasting a command string that adds (accidently) a line feed after the string. You can't add a line feed manually but it can be pasted when adding new or modifying a command.

So if you create a new tool command and cut-n-past the following command plus a line feed, hyena will bomb

    C:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe /v:%E% /w:1152 /h:864

    Thanks.

Can you tell us step-by-step what you do to cause this problem so we can try and duplicate?

new tool corrupts install when runas admin

I need to run hyena using my administrative account during my normal session. Normally this works fine when started using the "runas" feature in WinXP. However, the session bombs after adding or modifying a tool and will fail to start until I delete the tool.cmds.dat from my administrative account.

An attempt is made to send microsoft an error report with the error signature:
    AppName: hyena.exe AppVer: 6.6.0.0 ModName: msvcrt.dll
    ModVer: 7.0.2600.2180 Offset: 0000d572
