V6.5 Startup Error - Exchange Interface

I updated my installation to V6.5 this morning. Upon restarting the computer and starting Hyena I am presented with the following error message:

Unable to load menu for Exchange Interface.
A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

I do not use the Exchange Interface and am not licensed for it.

Any ideas?

Go to Tools->Settings and make sure all options are disabled on the Exchange 200x tab and the Exchange 5.5 tab.

All boxes are un-checked. I uninstalled and reinstalled as admin. Same problem. Once I hit OK on the error message Hyena starts so I am not dead in the water but it does take awhile before the message comes up in the first place.

Hyena won't try to load anything Exchange-related unless those options are checked. Please verify that they are not checked.

You can also look in the registry at the following settings:

hkey_current_user\software\adkins resource\hyena\exchange

EnableExchangeIntegration
EnableE2kIntegration
EnableUMXIntegration

Make sure they are set to 0.

Exchange was not selected during the install. All three values in the Registry, along with all other Exchange values are set to 0.

Are you starting Hyena with Run As? If so, try running Hyena without it and see what happens.

Make sure that you are not using a shared setting file under Tools->Settings->General. If you are, then this would be the source of the problem as those settings are the ones being used.

There would appear to be something happening that should not be, as Hyena does not attempt to load the Exchange functions unless the settings make it do so. If Hyena does try to load the UMX library, it does a lot of things that must first work perfectly in order to get this error. One way to prevent loading the functions, even if somehow enabled, it to look in the registry under:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Network\UMAddOns

Find the value for Mailumx and find that file and rename it to something else.

I am starting Hyena by clicking Start -> All Programs -> Hyena -> Hyena

FYI, it was working perfectly before I upgraded to V6.5 this morning.

Well, I am now completely confused. I started Hyena so that I could check the shared settings and Hyena started without the error message. I have done nothing to modify anything other than what I indicated in my replies.

I then did a shutdown and did a cold boot to make sure that it would still work and am happy to report that it is still working. This is very weird but at least it is working as expected again.
