I have an Windows XP Pro (SP2)machine running Hyena, it is not part of a domain.
    I want to administer a Win 2k3 (SP1)domain.
How can I configure Hyena with an Admin Account to access the 2k3 domain

See if you can use Run As on hyena.exe and specify an account in the domain. You'll see this option when you right-click on hyena.exe.

I can not use a Domain account for authentication because my machine is not a member of the domain.

I don't think that you can manage an AD domain if you cannot logon to the domain. You can usually manage non-AD functions (services, files, shares, printers) if you know of a logon account on the domain.

Another option is to install Hyena on the server (a domain controller), then pcAnywhere, etc. into the controller and run Hyena from there.
