rpc error 1727 (printers)

Since a few days I cannot list the printers on our printserver, I got "remote procecure ecall fails id 1727". nothing in eventlog, services are running (spooler and lpdsvc).
environment: W2k SP4 Server with all current hotfixes, Hyena 6.2 german.

Does this server have a large number of printers on it? If so, see if the link in the last post on this page helps:

thanks, the printer server has 360 printers to share, adding the registry key with 2 MB fixed the problem )
