  • Can not open Hyena anymore

Anytime that I try and use Hyena now, I get the foolowing message

The instruction at 0x0046e320 referrenced memory at 0x00000020 the memory could not be read.

Hyena.exe has caused an application error and will need to be closed by windows.

I uninstalled and then resinstalled with the same effect. I even installed to a different directory. I also removed the ad_*.dat files that were mentioned in another post, and it still gave me the error. I am able to use the Exporter tool though.

    I am running W2K with SP4.

    any help is appreciated.

Re: Can not open Hyena anymore

The only issues we've seen like this have been related to the ad_*.dat files being corrupt for whatever reason.

Search your drive for ad_objects.dat to determine what other locations it may be located. Wherever you find the file, delete all ad_*.dat files in that directory.

Run the install program after doing this and then try opening Hyena.

Re: Can not open Hyena anymore

I am currently running HW diagnostics on my work laptop. Once it is finished, I will try that again.

Re: Can not open Hyena anymore

This has been fixed by removing all instances of Hyena and SystemTools from the machine, including from the registry. After I did this the install was fine.
