  • Run as different user

After upgrading to Hyena 9.0 the start option: 'run as differnet user' (Shift + Right click) doesn´t show. I can run some register utility from Sysinternals (ShellrunAs) to fix this for Hyena, but afterwards this menu option will exist twice for other apps. Has anyone had the same experience?

Hyena's install wouldn't remove that option, so I'm not sure why you aren't seeing it. You have verified you see it for your other apps on that system? Searching online for "missing run as different user" return options for registry changes and GPO.

Just to cover all bases, are you sure you are holding down the Shift key and right-clicking? I only ask because if I right-click on Hyena.exe there's no Run As Different User, but once I Shift + Right-click I see it.

Yes I am sure! I have tested both after installed the downloaded exe-file and our Thinapp distribution package with the same result. This was not the case for 8.5. I am running Win7 and are administrator on my PC. Running the Sysinternal utility solved my problem but added an extra 'run as different user' line for other apps

I don't have any other ideas on that one unfortunately.
