I am not able to find how to locate the dialin tab. I've tried holding the alt key while opening user properties and tried changing the show shell property pages by default for group objects, but still don't have it.

What OS do you have Hyena installed on?

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. All domain controllers are Windows Server 2008 R2.

How closely does Hyena tie into the RSAT tools that are installed locally? Found a couple of articles addressing ADUC on Win7. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975448 http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Foru...4-8a33101ddd84/

Those probably wouldn't affect Hyena's user dialogs, but might help the Shell Properties option under Tools->Settings->Active Directory: Show shell property pages by default for user objects.

I tried making that change in the shell properties, but still have no luck in displaying the tab.

We don't have a way to work around that one, unfortunately.

The RAS (dialin) problems are outlined in the Help file under the Advanced section, Windows 7 / 64-bit support.

Hyena's Shell Properties use the same protocols as MMC / RSAT, so the missing tab is due to the same limitations as using Microsoft's management tools.

Starting with Hyena v8.1, the Dialin tab is no longer displayed as the RAS functions no longer with with Windows 7. Due to the errors and technical support issues, we simple disable that tab.

As far as I know, there isn't a workaround to this problem. Anyone affected by this should contact Microsoft as their 'solution' to RDP into a computer in order to get the Dialin tab is not much of a solution.

If anyone is able get the RSAT property pages for display a dialin tab for a user and successfully make changes, please let us know so that we can provide you with a test version of Hyena that would once again attempt to modify the RAS information using the Microsoft APIs.
