  • Query for Server Edition?

LDAP Queries (in Hyena or ADUC) show all Windows 2003 based servers as "Windows Server 2003" for the operating system and "5.0 (3790)" as the version.

How can I differentiate between server editions (e.g. Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter)?

Select a few servers, right-click and choose WMI->Operating System and see if that gives you enough information.

Nice! Thank you very much for your help.
As a feature request; it would be sweet if you guys made WMI queries across nested OU's as easy as you've done it with LDAP queries. Or maybe combining an LDAP with WMI!

Or I should just calm down because I'm a manager and not an engineer. *sniff*

Actually, if you want to query computers or servers using WMI across OUs or nested OUs, you can do that, you just have to first get the computers in the right window. Once you query them, either through and LDAP query, or using the 'Traverse' toolbar button, then you just run the query like before. Or maybe I don't understand what you mean...if so, let me know.

Nope, you are making sense. Thanks!
