  • Can I set the timeout for contacting a system?

Often, when I click on a system I a message of "Unable to open network resource. the network path was not found." Most often, I find that the system is not powered on. My workstation dnscache has the last ip the system had before it was powered off so I'm sure Hyena sees this and tries for over 30 seconds to contact the system. Is there a best way to configure Hyena to either look to a dnsserver instead or give up sooner when it cannot connect to the system?

Unfortunately Hyena has no control over either situation. It simply issues Windows functions and those functions do the rest. You can enable the PING function, though and enable the option to Cancel remote operation/function if PING fails, so it will ping the computer first.

It must be a DNS issue on our side. I can ping the systems but can't reach them. Thanks for the note.
