I'm needing to run a report of client UIDs. In AD this appears under the UNIX tab.. Is there a way I can view these in Hyena and better yet run an Exporter Pro report?

Re: UNIX user properties in AD
One thing you can try is the View all attributes option to see if the field(s) you want are listed there by right-clicking on an object and choosing Query Active Directory->View All Attributes.
What did you install to get a 'UNIX' tab?

Re: UNIX user properties in AD
I believe that tab is added when you install NIS (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921913).
We use LDAP authentication for our UNIX servers.

Re: UNIX user properties in AD
I figured it out for the most part. You have to load idmu.exe which is part of the 2003 Server Admin Pack that allows you to administer Unix IDs. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...&DisplayLang=en
The field is called 'UID' under the Unix tab. I was able to find the field in the schema (msSFU30UidNumber) and add it to Exporter Pro. It appears to work fine on exports. The only issue I had was when viewing the UNIX tab from Hyena using 'Shell Properties' for a user. It always shows the same UID number for every user. Exporter Pro pulls the correct numbers.

Re: UNIX user properties in AD
The Shell Properties should show the same information that you see in ADU&C, as they use the same interface. You can also add that attribute to Hyena's AD queries too if you want to (if you need instructions on how to do that, let us know).Kevin Stanush
