  • run a report

I would like to run a report which pulls off distribution lists and members associated with them from AD, but I keep getting incomplete member lists denoted by "...!". Can you help?

    Re: run a report

Fields in the right-hand window are limited to 255 characters, and the ...! lets you know that the data was truncated.

Your options would be to use either Exporter Pro for this same data, since it writes to a file and doesn't have that limitation. Or, you can right-click on your group(s) and choose View Group Members.

Thanks for your reply. Is it possible to print this report out using your method?

If you mean the option that displays the data in the right-hand window, you can do a Ctrl-a, then a Ctrl-c to open the Copy List Window. Choose the option for Windows Clipboard and click OK. Then open Excel and do an Edit->Paste, then print from Excel.

I tried this originally but could not list all the available members, and you explained why that is. I guess I need to fnd another way so that I can print all the members.

            Re: run a report

If you display your groups in the right-hand window, select them all, then right-click and choose View Group Members you will see all of the members for the selected groups. You can then use the method I gave to save that data to Excel where you can print.
