  • Logging changes made by Hyena

If there are more than one administrator using Hyena to modify servers, pcs, etc, how do we have Hyena log to the Event Veiwer of the particular server which user or PC and user made the change?

Hyena doesn't offer any logging of it's functions. There are many utilities (some free) that can be used to make changes like these, though. With that in mind, auditing in Windows should be utilized to enable you to monitor changes made by users regardless of the application used.

What are some of the free logging tools availalbe? We have auditing turned on but still have an issue with people changing settings on the auditing as well. Also, auditing settings I set within Hyena, do not seem to remain as I set them. We suspect someone changing the settings to "hide" what they are doing.

I meant that there are many utilities that can be used to make changes in AD like Hyena does, including free ones like MMC, etc.

The point was that even if there was logging of Hyena's functions, your users can still use a multitude of other methods to make changes in your environment.
