  • How to export a list of users with a custom attribute?

We have Live Communicator Service deployed in our environment (Microsoft LCS). This extends the schema to include a new LCS tab in the user's AD properties. How do I run a report with Hyena to find those users who have PIC enabled in their account (PIC is one of the settings we can enable/disable for the user).
Hopefully that made sense. Thank you.

You can add any AD attribute to Hyena's queries under File->Manage Object View->AD Objects. Just click on the query you want to modify, then change the Attribute Category to Other(Specify Attribute) and enter the field in the box that comes up.

      Hello,

I can get to File->Manage Object View but I do not see an AD Objects tab. I do see a tab for called AD Queries. Clicking on this tab lets me pick and choose attributes, however the one's specific to LCS are not listed. Where would I find out what the LCS attributes are in order to add to the query?

      (I'm using v7.2 of Hyena)

Sorry, that should have been AD Queries. You can right-click on a user and choose Query Active Directory->View All Directory Attributes. Find the Property Name for the fields you want to add.

Ok I can now see a list of attributes associated with a user. The attribute I am interested in is msRTCSIP-OptionFlags. Can you direct me how to create a query to run against the domain? (even better would be to create a query where the above property = 1)

Sure, use my instructions from above. Once you get to the AD Queries tab, click on Users(Detailed-General), then in the lower right change Attribute Category to Other(Specify Attribute). Paste in the attribute name into that box and click OK. Back in Hyena right-click on the All Users object and choose Query Active Directory->Users(Detailed-General).
