  • Run a .bat file prior to a shutdown command from Hyena console

Would there be a way to run a .bat file that is located on a server's C: drive? I run a .bat file to shut down certain services and close files prior to doing a restart on the server. I would like to run the .bat file and do the shutdown all from Hyena, without having to terminal service into the box to run the .bat file. The shut down is quite easy and straight forward from Hyena but not the running of the file. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Mark

You should be able to create a Custom Tool using the free psexec utility to run your batch file remotely. Search our discussion board for psexec for examples on how to use it.

Thank you. I will download the utility and review your site for examples.
