  • Disabled users in Group

    I have a group with 2k users.

How can I just list only the disabled users?

I cant see how to do this query on a group.

    edit: nevermind, figured it out.

So, I figured out the 'sort by icon'

But is there anyway to do this with a query instead??

I can do it for all users, but not for just a certain group..

You can display the group members in Hyena's right-hand window, select them all, then right-click and choose Query Active Directory->Users(Detailed-General). When that finishes find the Role column, and disabled users will have DISABLED there.

        Re: Disabled users in Group

I think we removed the Disabled Users query from the default installation, but if you have a fairly recent version of Hyena, you can do this:

        - Select File->Manage Object View->AD Queries
        - Change the Query Type to "OU/Container Contents"
        - Click New...
        - Enter a new like "Disabled Users" for query name.
        - For the LDAP filter, click Define...
        - Change the Find option to be "Common Queries"
        - Enable the Disabled Accounts option; click OK
        - Check the box to include sub-containers.
        - Close Object Manger

Now back in Hyena right click on any container or OU or the main Containers/OUs object, select Query Active Directory and select the query you just selected.

The advantage to this approach is it filters the users at the server so there is less server processing to give you the results.
