How do I display only computers that are online? I seem to see all computers that have accounts in AD.

You can enable a setting to show blue icons for online computers and gray icons for offline computers. This is located under Tools->Settings->View and is called Integrate browse list with Active Directory computer listing. This compares the list of computers with the browse list, and if a computer is found on the browse list it will get a blue icon.

The other option you can enable is PING. This will ping a computer when you click on it to give you an indication on the status bar of whether or not it is online. This is also controlled under Tools->Settings->View.

        Re: Displaying only online computers

Thank you. That helps but what I would like to do is run a report against only online computers. Our AD browse list has 28000 computers of which most are not in use. When I display this in Hyena with the "integration" setting you suggested, I still get the 28000 computers with online computers interspersed. Is there any way to just get a list of online computers or run a report only against online computers?

There's no way to filter out the offline computers, but you can enable the PING function and check the box to Cancel remote opteration/function if ping fails.

I made the changes in view, but I only get greyed out icons for the workstations, and I know some of them are up?

Make sure your Computer Browser service is running.
