How do I use Hyena to wake on LAN my PCs

    Re: Wake on LAN

You'll need to create a file with the MAC addresses of your computers. There's some information in the help file on this. Enter in that path to that file under Tools->Settings->WOL. Then you'll simply right-click on a computer, or selection of computers and choose Send Wakeup Request.

I too am working with the WOL and am having issues. I have no problems running other WOL programs such as SolarWinds, etc (even across subnets). However, I cannot get Hyena to work. I am not receiving any config errors and have tried many combinations of WOL settings to no avail. Would like to know how Hyena generates it's WOL commands.

      Regards, Steve

Hyena's help file has information on how it uses WOL.

Agreed, but it's very limited. Can you offer other resources?

What information are you looking for ? Hyena sends a magic packet command as documented by AMD.

Thanks for your inputs. I traced it to network switch setups. I think it would be a nice idea to include a statement in the manual under the checklist items to note switch configuration requirements.

I'd be happy to. Let me know what sort of requirements there are.

                Thanks

How can I use Hyena to schedule a WOL?

Hyena's functions can't be scheduled. If you can find a command line utility or something to run WOL, you can use Hyena to create a job to run it.
