software inventory

how can i get a list of a specific software installed on users pc's? for example i would like to know who has adove installed and what versions they have installed.

You can try WMI using a Where Clause, but more than likely you'll end up using Exporter Pro's Installed Software Applications export, which will export all installed software, and then filtering the output using something like Excel or Access.
