  • Network Card Speed/Duplex Settings

This probably is not possible, but I thought I would ask anyway.

Is there a way to determine the network card speed/duplex on remote machines?

We would like to dump that info and compare it to our switch configs. Trying to be a little more proactive on detecting/fixing network speed/duplex mismatches.

There are two ways. The preferable way, but it requires the Enterprise Edition, is to use WMI. I don't know what WMI class would have this information, but a Google search for WMI network speed would probably turn it up.

The other way would be to use the Performance object under any computer. There is a Network performance query under the Performance object that can show the adapter speed. However, you can only run Performance queries for one computer at a time, whereas WMI queries can be run on selected computers.
