  • Command line Usage

    Hi
I am trying to run a command line to run an export (Exporter Pro)
    "c:\Progra~1\Hyena\stexport.exe" /config="c:\Progra~1\Hyena\AD_Info.INI"
This works OK if I choose any item under Disk drives etc but if I only choose an item under Active Directory (Users, Groups.. it does not
All I am try to do is automate an export of AD including Exchange info
I have a tick under Directory Query properties and out put file name to c:\AD_Info.txt.
This all works manually i.e. click Start Export but not via a command prompt
I have made sure I have a file called AD_Info.DAT in same area and filled out with domain info and still not luck
When doing from Command prompt it creates C:\AD_Info.txt but it only has headings on.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks

    Anthony

    Re: Command line Usage

Make sure your .DAT file has an AD-style path for your domain. What you might want to do is add the object in Exporter Pro, and let it enter the path information for you. The AD exports need an AD path to work.

That looks like a Windows Domain entry. You'll need to add a Windows 2000/2003 Domain entry for the AD exports to work.

            Re: Command line Usage

You can run Exporter Pro, add the object through the Edit menu, then copy from the .DAT file to yours if you are using a different one. After you add your domain there, go to Configuration Properties and then File Locations to see where the Object File is located. Either use that one or copy it to the one you are using now.
