  • Checking for a file version

I am looking for a way to find out which version of the wuauclt.exe client our servers have so we know which ones to upgrade to the new client for WSUS to recognize them. Any way to do this?
    Hyena v 6.2b

    Thanks

Re: Checking for a file version

Using Exporter Pro you can create a File/Directory template and specify the file you are are looking for (wuauclt.exe in your case). When you run this you will get information on that file only, from the selected computers.

thanks, but when I open Exporter Pro, I do not see the File/Directory option. Only these under export settings: Services, Computers,Shares,Registry,Disk Drives, Printer, Windows NT Local groups and Users, Security Access, WMI, and the stuff under Active Directory. Am i missing a feature?

      Thanks

It looks like that was added in v6.3 or thereabouts. If your maintenance allows, you can upgrade to a more recent version and you'll see that option.
