Event Log Filtering Options

Hi Folks,

I have some object groupings of servers setup in object manager that I need to check for certain system events, say event 6009 for a system reboot. I dont need to see all of the times this event happened, just if it happened today for example. I have to check these groups of servers at different times throughout the week so I set the Starting Date to be the current date and then run the filter. What would be cool would be if I could supply a variable or something in the date field to always use the current date so I dont have to modify the date each time I run the filter. That way I could just run the filter each time it was needed without having to change it to todays date. Is this functionality that already exists? Sorry if I am not making myself clear.

Sorry, but there isn't any way to do this, but it has been asked about before. What we might try to do in the next release is add some sort of way to specify a fixed window from the current day that will stay in the filter. That way, you could provide a 1-day, 2-day, etc. window that would not require entry of the date each time.
