  • How to remove disabled accounts from a Group

We have an Exchange Distribution list of about 800 users which contains about 200 disabled accounts.

What is the best way to remove all the disabled users from this group.
I see the icon as disabled but cannot sort on it. i saw the article on exporting the icon to excel also

How can i add more fields in the view group membership results.

Thanks a lot for your help.

You can right-click on the column header and use the Sort by Icon option to sort the users by their icon.

Thanks for the hint, I was using version 6.3 In version 6.5 life is far more easier by opeing up view all view all user member details. and sort on disabled collum,

      Feedaback:
The ICONs no longer reflect if the user is enabled or disabled.

      You do add needed features.

What do you mean by this?

Re: How to remove disabled accounts from a Group

Ihave done further research and found this out.
If in managed object the domain is defined 1. windows 2000/2003 domain.
In GLOBAL Groups we only have the option view direct members and view direct and indirect members ONLY.
The Icon for the Users being diasble is displayed correctly.

          2. the Managed Object the same domain is defined as a WINDOWS Domain.
In GLOBAL Groups the option avialable are
view direct members and view all member and view all member details
The Icon for the Users being diasble is NOT displayed correctly.

Basically what i would like is the option of View All member details in the 2003 Domain
along with the option to view the direct and indirect member option avilable.

I know that the all member details is a very long list. so may be a possibility do some field selction may not be a bad idea.

Thanks for adding this request to the wish list.

Re: How to remove disabled accounts from a Group

Windows 2000/2003 Domain is the correct configuration if you are in an AD environment. With this option you can use the Sort by Icon function I gave you above to get your list of disabled users.

As far as additional details on those members, you can't change the fields that are shown by default for group members displays. You can select users in the right window, then right-click and choose Tabular Views->User(Detailed).

That way i do get all the details of the users, but loose the option to remove membership.
