  • Get the symantec AV version

How can I create a text file that will have a list of computers and their corresponding symantec version?

    Thanks

Are you using the corp version of Symantec Anti-virus?

Yes we are using SSC on the servers.

You can select the server on the left in the SCC. Then export the list.
Did you mis phrase your question?

There is nothing wrong with running the setup on the cd and then just simply installing the SSC on your system. Make sure to use the latest SSC that you are using. You should have no issues controlling the machines running version 9. Just remember that the database with this information is local to each server. So because you clear a virus status on your machines SCC. It will still show on the server.

Re: Get the symantec AV version

Thanks for the info, but is there a way I can do it with Hyena? I would like to be able to scan all my domains and see which machines are running which version. I would also like to see which machines are running no anti virus at all.

              Thanks

Re: Get the symantec AV version

Ok, now that question explains more then the original. I have a script that will display the parent SAV server on a machine. There is a post in the custom tools by The Supply Guy that deals with SAV as well. But what you asking for would have to be an additional script made by someone.

I am not an Exporter pro but I would think it could give you a report on the machines that have that service. As for version I am not sure.

Thanks, I will search and see if I find that script.

Would it be possible to get a copy of your script?

                    Always here to help.

                    Menu Caption:<span style="font-weight: bold">Display SAV parent</span>
                    Command line:<span style="font-weight: bold">cmd /c reg query "\\%E%\HKLM\Software\Intel\Landesk\VirusProtect6\C urrentVersion" /v remotehomedirectory & pause</span>

I think you could use this to get any other registry strings out of the system like version??????
