I have a list of 25 employees and I need to provide a report containing active directory account information, what's the easiest way to get this report from Hyena?

There's no way to import a list of users into Hyena. One option would be to run a users report in Hyena, then tie your list of users to the output produced by Hyena using Access.

I'm sure I'm missing it, but where can I find step by step instructions? I've been coming this board and the help file, but still haven't been able to find what I need. I'm trying to get data for an fdic exam and have never used hyena before. Could I maybe run some type of export of all users to an access table or something and then filer it somehow?

        Re: auditing users

You can double-click on All Users to display your users in the right-hand window. From there you can send it to the database using the Tools->Generate Report option. From there you would have to import your list into a new table, then using the Access Query Wizard or Report Wizard you should be able to join them. Unfortunately we don't have instructions for the Access part of this.

I get an access error when I try to run the report. The error is that it can't find hyenarpt.mdb

Look in your Hyena directory for hyenarpt.mdb. If you don't see it, see if you have one called hyenarpt.mdb.v40 and rename it to hyenarpt.mdb.

do you know if there is a way to add user creation date from active directory under Object Manager Creation in the Query Directory Attributes?

                Re: auditing users

Change the Attribute Category to General Directory Object Attributes and add whencreated.

found it, thanks. I noticed under the creation date/time column it is listed as just a number, how can I change this to a date and time?

                    Re: auditing users

I don't understand what you mean by it being displayed as a number. The field is a number, but Hyena displays it as a date/time value. Where are you seeing the whencreated attribute displayed as a number ?

Where do you make this change to show the creation date in the all users report?

                          Re: auditing users

Go to File->Manage Object View->AD Queries. Click on the query you want to modify, then in the lower right you can find the fields you want to add.
